I can’t crawl but I can walk…

with just a bit of a help from a walker. ;P Daddy/Mommy bought me a walker on Sat and I tried it yesterday - I LOVE IT!!! I am no longer confined to a place, but can roll around - I can go backwards too!

I still can’t roll from my back to my tummy because my tummy is too big and I am too lazy (blame it on my genes from both Daddy and Mommy).  Good thing I know how to roll from my tummy to my back because you can try as hard as you want to flip me over to my tummy, I can quickly flip myself back so there!

Let me see…what else can I do? I love to examine things closely now - I like to turn things over and over and view them from all angels.  I also can eat more lumpier foods now such as banana, fish, and even baby puffs.  Mommy is always so nervous when she feeds me these foods - relax, Mommy, I am a little big boy now!

By the way, I think I am teething because I haven’t been eating too well, and I slobber a lot nowadays.  I like munching on things…not sure what that plastic thing is that Mommy sticks into my mouth and rubs my gum with (fingerbrush), but it sure feels good.  Whenever Mommy takes her finger out, I either go after her finger with my mouth or grabs her finger with mine to stick it back into my mouth so I can get some relief from my sore gum!

A babbling Owen

By his seventh month, Owen has grown into the full blown babbler stage, weighing at 20 lb, and his vocabulary is beyond what we as adults can understand, read some interesting articles saying baby babbling actually serves a much higher level mission - decoding the secrete code by which his parents or grandparents communicate. Babbling is by no means random noises caused by the movement of his mouth, instead it is a way of complex process of imitation and experimentation.

His life is now much more cyclical and routine, sleep, wake up and play, eat, and sleep, in some sense I’d envy him for his life style, nothing to worry about.

As expected, here comes our monthly issue of Owen’s photo, worthy of mention was that his grandma and grandpa have done an amazing job as a photographer to please the photo subjects, in fact, even the parents laughed harder than Owen in the end…

The world stopped…

my sweetest baby, time stopped today when I held you in my arms and we played our little game.  Mommy had a strand of hair loose in my face, so I blew it out of the way and you giggled, both because you liked seeing Mommy’s hair fly up and because Mommy blew air on you at the same time.  Mommy blew it again just to hear your giggles - the most beautiful sound to Mommy’s ears.  It made Mommy so happy just to hear you giggle that Mommy giggled too - so there we were, giggling together at Mommy blowing her silly hair flying all over the place…it was then that time stopped for Mommy.  Mommy is so content and thankful and happy just giggling with you - I just want to stay in this moment forever. I love you so much, baby. *kiss*
